Today is Human Rights Day.
Forty-six years ago, Sharpeville became known around the globe for all the wrong reasons. Although I've not been to Sharpeville, I have been to Soweto and seen the place where Hector Pieterson died 16 years later and been round the incredible Hector Pieterson Memorial and Museum. If you go to Johannesburg, don't miss out on a visit to either place as a feeling of the history is tangible.
